Living Amphibians Invertebrates Reptiles, also known as the LAIR at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, was a 8,400 sq ft. project completed in 2012. It consisted of two exhibition buildings, CMU wall, steel truss, and a Green Roof over waterproofed metal decking. Each building contained various habitats specifically designed to sustain different animals.
The main building had 3 aquatic exhibits, with waterproofed glazing and a complex life support system for the animals. The exterior also featured a large pond to house alligators. There was extensive landscaping and also shotcrete features to mimic rock work.
